WATCH LIVE STREAM SERVICES - 10:00AM Sunday Worship, & Past Services

Abortion resources

This past Sunday I preached on "Our Infinite God and Infants in the Womb" and the audio and video and notes and footnotes are at this link

In Sunday School we also had a discussion on abortion arguments and the gospel and some shared of their own abortions and God's grace and how we can share it. Here is the link to that audio. Several asked for the link to the video we watched clips from of Ray Comfort answering pro-choice objections while evangelizing. Below is the excellent video that is one of the best short films I've seen in moving from choice to Christ:

In my Sunday sermon I also mentioned pictures taken from tubal pregnancies of babies just 5-6 weeks after conception that I wanted to share below.

Lastly, the book I recommended in my sermon is Choose Life: Answering Key Claims of Abortion Defenders with Compassion (Moody Press, 2022). It's title is based on Deuteronomy 30:19 (ESV) “…I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live”

Here is the table of contents with some of the more helpful chapters and annotations by me in brackets, by leaders of various aspects of the pro-life movement.

A Life-Affirming Approach to Complex Pregnancies, by Kendra Kolb [Board-certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine, spent much of her career as a physician with subspecialty training to care for medically fragile and complex newborns, many of whom are born extremely prematurely. She argues that what is usually necessary to save the life of a mother is a c-section or pre-term delivery, or in the case of ectopic / tubal pregnancy that will be fatal, to remove the unborn life to save the mother’s (sometimes can be removed alive but won’t survive). This is not considered abortion, and there are ways to handle rare emergencies without killing the baby in utero]

CLAIM 6: ABORTIONS ARE HELPFUL TO WOMEN AND SOCIETY

  1. The Voices and Values of the New Pro-Life Generation, by Charlotte Pence Bond [daughter of Vice President Mike Pence]

May God help His people to help others to “choose life, not death” (2 Kings 18:32 NIV). As He does, "thanks be to God, the God, who is the giver of life (Acts 17:25), the fountain of life (Ps. 36:9), the defender of life (Ps. 27:1), the prince of life (Acts 3:15, NASB, “author of life” in other versions), and the restorer of life (Ruth 4:15) ... He not only sent us the message of life (Acts 5:20) and the words of life (John 6:68), but He also sent us the light of life as well (John 8:12) ... offering us new life (John 5:21)." https://www.ligonier.org/learn/articles/after-roe
