The Church Can’t Be Stopped - Canada UPDATE
3Let's keep praying for my seminary classmate and fellow soldier in the spiritual war zone up north! Putting him behind bars for 35 days didn't stop his church, so on April 7 they've put the church building behind bars - 3 layers of steel security fencing!
Sad to see a church building taken over, but glad the church is not a building and that the story is not over for Christ's church. He promises to build His church and the gates of Hades (or Health Departments!) will not prevail against it! Thankful God’s Word is not chained, and that His people will still worship the King who the grave could not lock down! Not every Christian or church has taken the same approach, but I think we should all take time to pray for this church and for this to be a turning point.
UPDATE: HERE IS A RECORDING OF THEIR SERVICE FROM AN UNDISCLOSED LOCATION WHERE THEY WERE ABLE TO WORSHIP UNDISTURBED BY POLICE AND HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MANY WEEKS
Erin Coates wrote the same day "Health Services has tried everything to wear Grace Life Church down by their tactics and intimidation and Christ keeps prevailing. Though we are without our facility we will worship Christ. We will keep singing and shouting at the top of our lungs "He is worthy to be praised." Christ's headship cannot be moved or taken ... We will keep proclaiming Jesus Christ and Him crucified as the only hope or sinners and that they would turn to Him and live! The more they do this, the greater platform they give for the excellencies of Jesus Christ to be proclaimed among the nations. Are you proclaiming Him?"
Psalm 2: "Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? ... rulers take counsel together, against the LORD ... He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision ... be wise, be warned, O rulers of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear ..." (v. 1-2, 4-5, 10-11 ESV)
