Moving to One Service Outside & Update On State Guidance

Many of you have been asking when we can all be together again in one place and we're excited those plans are coming together for this Lord's Day at 9:00 AM! This will be the first time our body has gathered at the same time since March 8th and we have longed for this day like many of you have and hope you can make it!

We're moving to one service with the revised State guidance that now only puts a number limit on indoor gatherings. We plan to keep the outdoor service under 70 minutes for those outside to avoid the heat forecasted later morning and midday. Click here for registration and a bit more information by way of video.

As we think of being asked to wear face coverings inside and considering clothes to be worn outside in light of the weather, let's remember the words of scripture as we gather: "Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, for love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling ... serve one another  ... be subject to your elders. Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another... Clothe yourselves with love, which binds us together..." (1 Peter 4:8-9, 5:5 ESV, Colossians 3:15 NLT).

For those gathering outside, we welcome you gladly whatever you decide to put on, and let's all "put on tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering, bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint... And above all these things put on love ... and be thankful ... singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord" (Colossians 3:12-16). This is not a time to give complaints about what's going on in the world, this is a time to give thanks that we can do what much of the world can't (and to gather in ways many Christians can't)!

Let's be respectful of our leaders, and fellow believers, and above all be thankful to King Jesus. Let's plan to interact as Romans 15 says "in such harmony with one another, that together you may with one voice glorify God ... Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God." Your GCBC family looks forward to this long awaited family reunion as we regather altogether this Lord's Day legally, safely, and in unity, all for God's glory!
