Biblical Foundations for GCBC Music Ministry
As the music and audio-visual team of GCBC, we seek to lead the church to savor God through Scripture filled song, so that the church will exalt God and edify one another in all of life. (Ps. 34:3; Eph. 4:11-16)
Our Vision
The vision is simple: to lovingly equip our church with songs that are rich with God’s Truth, so that our church will better delight in God, proclaim Christ, and disciple one another in life and death. (Matt. 28:17-20; Col. 3:11-17; Eph. 5:17-21; 2 Cor. 5:9-10). This includes Audio/Visual, musicians, song leaders, etc.
Who We Want to Be
Our conviction is that to be a “worshipping team” requires more than just assembling a group of people doing individual tasks and getting something accomplished (Romans 12:3-8).
Instead, we are worshipping disciple makers that love the church, serve people with our spiritual gifts by the Spirit’s help, and joyfully use our talents to bring glory to God. Together, we each must aim to foster an environment where fellow saints flourish together as worshippers of Christ (Heb. 10:24). By God’s grace, we will increasingly become these kinds of ministers, as we value and prioritize the right things.
Who Can Be involved?
If you love the Lord and have some musical ability, and are regularly involved in our church life, and have interest in Audio/Visual ministry, we'd love to talk with you about being involved. Our emphasis is on congregational singing (accompanied by a variety of instrumentation). There may be a place for you in helping our church sing with once voice, to praise Christ!
