About Women's Ministry

PHIL. 2:2-4  COMPLETE MY JOY BY BEING OF THE SAME MIND, HAVING THE SAME LOVE, BEING IN FULL ACCORD AND OF ONE MIND.  DO NOTHING FROM RIVALRY OR CONCEIT, BUT IN HUMILITY COUNT OTHERS MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN YOURSELVES. LET EACH OF YOU LOOK NOT ONLY TO HIS OWN INTERESTS BUT ALSO TO THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.

Women’s Ministry serves under the Elders and are fellow workers with the Deacons to be a help to the leadership and to serve the needs of the body, with a special emphasis on encouraging and discipling the ladies of the church.

We are a group of church members who have been approved by the Elders to serve the church family.  We assist in church-wide fellowship such as communion, memorials, GCBC meals, and elder luncheons. We coordinate women’s special events such as bridal/baby showers, teas, and breakfasts as well as the Home Fellowship Meals.  We seek to encourage the members of the body through contact with them (calls, cards, visits) as well as arranging meals in times of sickness, death, and during other needs. The church Prayer Chain is overseen by Women’s Ministry as well as a group of ladies being taught how to come alongside and help disciple women in the body by one of the ministry team.  Other things that are promoted by Women’s Ministry are the White Cross Blankets, support for the Pregnancy Council, and the book table.

We meet the first Thursday of every month (Sept.-May) at 6:00 PM at the church.
