About Women's Ministry

PHIL. 2:2-4  COMPLETE MY JOY BY BEING OF THE SAME MIND, HAVING THE SAME LOVE, BEING IN FULL ACCORD AND OF ONE MIND.  DO NOTHING FROM RIVALRY OR CONCEIT, BUT IN HUMILITY COUNT OTHERS MORE SIGNIFICANT THAN YOURSELVES. LET EACH OF YOU LOOK NOT ONLY TO HIS OWN INTERESTS BUT ALSO TO THE INTERESTS OF OTHERS.

Women’s Ministry serves under the Elders and are fellow workers with the Deacons to be a help to the leadership and to serve the needs of the body, with a special emphasis on encouraging and discipling the ladies of the church.

We are a group of church members who have been approved by the Elders to serve the church family.  We assist in church-wide fellowship such as communion, memorials, GCBC meals, and elder luncheons. We coordinate women’s special events such as bridal/baby showers, teas, and breakfasts as well as the Home Fellowship Meals. We seek to encourage the members of the body through contact with them (calls, cards, visits) as well as arranging meals in times of sickness, death, and during other needs. The church book resource table, and Prayer Chain is overseen by Women’s Ministry, as well as a group of ladies being taught how to come alongside and help disciple women in the body by one of the ministry team; the "Women Encouraging Women" team.

We meet the first Thursday of every month (Sept.-May) at 6:00 PM at the churchPray for this team of ladies as they help and support the church in many ways.
